Founded and led by Jess Gardner, an award-nominated producer with a background across drama, comedy, and documentary, our company champions powerful storytelling while pioneering accessibility, inclusion, and integrity at every stage of production.
Jess brings years of experience working with major broadcasters and streamers including BBC, ITV, Disney+ and S4C, and has built Divergence Pictures on a foundation of excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.

Doctor Who – Series 15
Jess was Co-Producer on the landmark sci-fi series for BBC Studios and Disney+ starring Ncuti Gatwa and Verada Sethu.
GALWAD
Jess was exec producer of Film on this bold, experimental project fusing live performance, digital storytelling, and real-time narrative. Starring Alexandria Riley, Rhodri Meilir, Aisha-May Hunte, and Gabin Congolo.
Commissioned as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK for Sky Arts.
Selkie
Jess was Creative Producer of this award-winning short film, fantasy live action and animation, silent short film inspired by a celebrated mythological Scottish folklore tale. Starring Steven Cree (Outlander, Discovery of Witches) and Joanna Vanderham (What Maisie Knew, The Paradise, The Control Room).
Selkie was nominated for best short at Bafta and Oscar qualifying In The Palace Festival and Camarthen Bay Festival.
